Character Profiles
First Name: Georgie
Last Name: Ward

Personality: Brave, Vunreable, Kind, Lonely, Dependent.
Role: It is clear from the nature of the job that Georgie chose to have a career in, that she is brave and passionate about saving lives. But the woman that is shown acting courgelously in the film's flashbacks, is not the same woman that is living in the present. It can be connoted through her quiet and retreative state in the film, that she has been deeply affected by her experiences of war and has thus put a strain on her personal relationships also. Georgie seems dependent on Charlotte making the decisions for her and finds the subject of her PTSD exhausting, to the point where she actually considers not attending her counselling sessions. When Georgie's loss is revealed, the audience realises that Georgie is actually harboring a lot of guilt and her social anxiety and nervousness, is due to the circumstances of Charlotte's death.

Role: At the beginning of the film, Charlotte can be inferred as being a fussy and controlling character who consistently pushes Georgie to do things that she dosen't want to do. However, as the film progressess, the audience notices that despite Charlotte's maticilous nature, she does hold genuine affection for Georgie and wants to help her to better her mental health. She frequently offers to give Georgie support and seemingly dosen't believe that Georgie is capable of looking after herself. At the end of the film, when Charlotte's death is revealed, the audience realises that some of the personality traits that Charlotte displays could actually be a reflection of how Georgie sees herself and that the demeaning comments that she sometimes makes towards Georgie, are actually Georgie's guilt speaking and not a true representation of the actual loving relationship that the two previously shared.

Dr. Sullivan asks Georgie questions about her feelings towards Charlotte's death and tries to suggest ways in which she can cope with her loss more effectively. She is shown to be a objective and authotritve figure who aids Georgie in overcoming her PTSD.
